This is how we began! Our lovely, welcoming, comfortable lodge. We have been running a self-catering holiday business for many years now, and we decided the time for us you make some changes to the accomodation - all be it in the rather drastic action of replacing the existing wooden structure with a timber framed cottage, which will be clad to create a beautiful finish and have a slate roof. The lodge was like a tardis inside and equipped with everything we could think of to make your stay fabulous. We have very happy memories of the years of welcoming people to their holidays in this glorious area and have many many return visitors every year.
So this is how the lodge has been.. then before Christmas came the time to pack up and store away ready for the sad demoliton of the building to make way for the new. We did try to rehome the lodge but alas relocation would have been just a bit too tricky to make it viable.

With the fortune of some good weather for the early months of the year we are on course for the timber frame to arrive within the next two weeks. The groundworks are all in place with just the base insulation and the final concrete pour to go. The timber frame will be a fairly quick process - the almost instant house structure will leap up from the ground. Exciting!!
